- What makes this weight loss class any different from all the rest?
-
It is FUN! You will learn so much about nutrition while having a blast! Most other weight loss classes are led by others who have lost weight, not Registered Dietitians.
- Will everyone see my weight and measurements?
-
No. We will do your physical assessment in a private setting.
- Do I have to do a full physical assessment every week?
-
No. You will weigh weekly but the full physical assessment will only be done at the beginning and end of the program.
- What all does the physical assessment include?
-
Blood pressure, resting heart rate, waist circumference, hip circumference, weight, height, Body Mass Index and body fat percentage.
- Will there be other locations for Laugh It Off?
-
Yes. We will offer other classes in Oklahoma City and Norman in the very near future. Other locations will be added as opportunities arise.
- Can I come to orientation night and not sign-up that night?
-
Yes. We would love to have you come and hear more about Laugh It Off to see if this class is for you. You can decide after attending orientation night if you would like to sign-up.
- What is the cost of attending orientation night?
-
It’s FREE!
- Why do you do a physical assessment?
-
There is so much more to weight loss than just weight. We would like to see if your blood pressure and resting heart rate improved and if you lost body fat and inches too.
- How do I get Laugh It Off to come teach at my location?
-
If you are having a fundraiser and would like part of the proceeds of Laugh It Off to go to your facility, contact us for more information to set up a class in your location.
- What if I miss a week?

Each week's curriculum and journals will be provided online and you can come back to meetings as soon as you can.

- Is this class for men and women?
-
Yes. Nutritional requirements for weight loss will be made for both men and women.
- Do I need to dress for exercise?
-
No. We will teach about exercise and how to make exercise fun but we will not be performing any exercises at the classes.
- What is the difference between a Registered Dietitian and a Nutritionist?
-
A Registered Dietitian has completed the minimum of a baccalaureate degree program approved by the American Dietetic association, performed at least 900 hours of supervised professional practice and passed a registration examination. A Nutritionist has had some education in nutrition and may or may not have a degree in Nutrition.
- What if I miss orientation night?
-
It is okay! We can do your full nutrition and physical assessment the next week. You will need to come about 10 minutes before class starts or stay a little late and we will get it done.
